President Goodluct Ebele Jonathan host post Convention Dinner

Tonight 8th September 2013 President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan hosted the maiden post convention dinner where the newly executives where all in attendance with other members of the National working committee, Governors and other members of the party, most of the speakers at the event spoke on the need for Unity and reconciliation of the party as strength lies in the number of its members, The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the party Tony Anenih commended the President for organising the first ever post convention dinner which has never happened in the history of the party, and agreed with other speakers the need for peace and settlement. The Party Chairman Bamanga Tukur also commended the president but rather chose to stress the need to stick with the ethics and guideline of the founding fathers of the party which stresses on loyalty and discipline believing that only on that ground will the party remain as the Giant it is.
The President who finally took the podium said that the party is intact and is aware of the aggrieved in the party who have no future outside PDP, agreeing that there is need for settlement and that all who left will return and that the party will be stronger at The end, he also said that without the PDP there will be no democracy in Nigeria.
We look to see the return of the aggrieved members of the party whom we at People Digest are aware are already in talks with other political parties, with plans to join the new APC (All Peoples Progressive Alliance) if the issue they are grieved about are not attended to.
